Functional Assessment

All horses are fully assessed to identify the areas to be worked on and establish baselines such as posture, range of motion, or stride length.

This includes a thorough gait assessment, whole-body palpation, and special assessment tests.

Manual Therapy

Hands-on treatment such as soft tissue techniques and joint mobilisations reduce pain and stiffness, which improves how your horse feels and performs. These techniques are specifically tailored to your horse's individual needs and response. No two sessions are quite the same!

Targeted Rehabilitation

Specific exercises (or homework!), such as stretches, muscle activations, ridden pole work or flatwork drills will be taught as part of your horse's rehabilitation programme to ensure longer lasting benefits from the hands-on treatment.

"The best equine physio I have ever used, and that’s coming from a human physio! Emma has made a genuine difference to my horse’s biomechanics by correcting muscle imbalances with specific exercises formed from accurate assessment and diagnosis.

It has been incredible to witness the changes in my horse’s muscle bulk and tone over the last 6 months under Emma’s guidance.

Emma has a very good eye for spotting even very subtle movement patterns and compensations in the horse’s movement and way of going, so that she can specifically address these with her effective hands-on treatment skills as well as prescriptive exercise."
